Welcome to the game where you'll be preparing the field, writing the playbook, and refereeing our employee needs and concerns! We here at ApplicantPro are looking for the ideal candidate to quarterback many of our general HR duties. This part-time Human Resources Manager position (20 hours per week) offers a semi-flexible schedule. Although you'll need to be in the office during regular business hours (8am-5pm), you can determine which 4 or 5 hours per day you will be working. Basically, you get to set your own schedule to accommodate your lifestyle!
We are a 10-year old company, with offices in Eagle Mountain & St George Utah, that provides hiring software and services to over 4000 small and mid-sized companies throughout the United States. Quite simply, if it has to do with hiring, we do it. More importantly, our goal is to not just help our clients hire, but to help them maximize their hiring results (think higher quantity of qualified applicants while reducing the client's recruiting costs).
We post our client's jobs to job boards, provide them with a branded careers portal and online application for their applicants to apply through, provide a robust tracking system to help them organize and manage all of the candidates for their jobs, and even provide screening tools to help them hire the best person (like assessments, video interviews, and background checks).
We are a rapidly growing, bootstrapped company (one of the 5000 fastest growing companies in the US for 4 years in a row). What that means is that we are trying to grow as fast as possible without using the money of outside investors to do it. This requires us to be scrappy and creative in how we drive growth.
A Day in the Life of a Human Resources Manager
Your play-by-play daily grind will be to tackle some of the more general HR needs. Independently, you'll dive head first into evaluating current HR operating procedures. By calling the plays to reach the HR compliance endzone, you'll develop new and efficient processes to keep ApplicantPro at the top of the compliance game. Like all good quarterbacks, you'll ensure that your playbook (aka Employee Handbook) is up-to-date with the most current and necessary policies and procedures. This will be vital when player (aka employee) concerns are brought to your attention and require absolute regulation compliance and timely resolution. On practice days, you'll be ready to lead our team in vital HR trainings so they are ready to tackle any HR related situations that may arise. As a true team-player, you'll review the needs and find the holes in the line of the HR department. From these play reviews, you'll communicate with our team the whys-and-hows to fill these gaps so nothing is missed as the HR department heads down the field for a touchdown each and every day. In addition, you'll assist the HR team in additional duties as needed for team success. Superbowl bound!
